SkyHopper: Gravity Shift

Privacy policy

Last updated:

This policy explains how information is handled when you play SkyHopper: Gravity Shift (“SkyHopper”) or contact us about the game. It covers the Android and Windows versions; advertising and Google Play purchases are available only on Android.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Studio Bobo, based in Finland, is the developer of SkyHopper and is responsible for the personal information it handles as the data controller described in this policy. “We”, “us”, and “our” refer to Studio Bobo.

Privacy and customer support:
customersupport@studiobobo.net
Website: www.studiobobo.net

Google also processes information through the services described below. Its privacy notices explain the processing for which it is independently responsible.

2. Information handled and its sources

Information created while you play

The game saves progress, scores, cells, upgrades, relics, selected ships, settings, mission and achievement progress, and reward limits on your device. A local recovery copy helps protect against interrupted saves. These files are not uploaded to a developer-operated server. Mission and achievement boards are local features, not public online leaderboards.

Information from Google’s Android services

Google describes the Mobile Ads SDK’s data categories in its data disclosure. Restricted or demo ads do not mean that Google processes no information.

Information you send us

If you contact support, we receive your email address, your message, and any attachments or purchase details you choose to provide. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or unrelated personal information.

SkyHopper does not ask for a name, birthday, camera access, microphone access, contacts, or precise GPS location. We do not operate a separate game analytics service or cloud-save service.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

Information is used to save your game, provide optional rewards, verify purchases, respond to support requests, and protect those services against errors and misuse.

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, the relevant grounds for our processing are:

Contacting us and making a purchase are optional. Without the details needed to investigate a support request or verify a purchase, we may be unable to resolve the issue or provide the purchased benefit. You do not need an account or personalized advertising to play.

Google explains its own purposes and legal grounds in its privacy notices. We do not use your information to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Optional ads and privacy controls

A rewarded ad is requested only after you choose and confirm it. Rewards can include a relic reroll, one revival, or bonus cells, subject to the limits shown in the game. You can decline and continue ordinary play. Supporter Pack owners can claim the same limited rewards without watching ads.

Google’s UMP service contacts Google at startup to check privacy requirements, before you choose an ad. Open Ad Privacy Options from the main menu to review the current restrictions or an available Google privacy form. Ad requests are blocked unless the SDK reports that they are permitted.

SkyHopper disables personalized advertising and remarketing for all players. Because the game does not verify ages, it applies restrictive child-related ad-data settings and under-age-of-consent treatment. The maximum ad-content setting is Google’s T (Teen) label; stricter filtering can apply and ads are not always available. This setting is not an individual rating or guarantee for every ad.

Where a privacy choice is available, you can revisit it through Ad Privacy Options. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. See also how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

The Supporter Pack removes in-game ad requests. It does not disable UMP’s startup privacy check or Google Play’s purchase checks. Test versions can show Google demo ads while purchases remain unavailable.

5. Google Play purchases

Where offered, the Supporter Pack is a one-time purchase through Google Play. Google handles payment and the associated account and billing information. SkyHopper does not receive your full payment-card number or card security code.

The game verifies, acknowledges, and restores purchases using information supplied by Google Play. It checks ownership when connecting to Play, including at launch or when the game resumes. Receipt verification takes place on your device, not on our server. Google Play can also make order information available to the developer for purchase administration and support.

6. Service providers and international transfers

The following recipients are involved in the processing described here:

Service providers can process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. Google describes the transfer mechanisms it uses, including adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses, in its international data-transfer information. You can contact us about safeguards relevant to information we handle.

Read the Google Privacy Policy for details about Google’s processing and controls. Following a link to another website subjects your visit to that website’s own privacy practices.

7. Storage, retention, and deletion

Deleting local data can permanently remove your progress: we do not hold a cloud copy. It does not cancel a Google Play purchase. Supporter Pack ownership can be restored through the Google account used to buy it.

8. Keeping information secure

Android purchase receipts are kept in private app storage, and standard Android app backup is disabled. Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. These measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee security, particularly on a compromised device.

9. Your rights and complaints

Depending on your location and the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a portable copy of personal information. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for processing that relies on it.

Send a request to customersupport@studiobobo.net and explain which information or service it concerns. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We cannot remotely access a save that exists only on your device.

For requests under the EU or UK GDPR, we normally respond within one month and without charge. If a lawful extension is needed because of the complexity or number of requests, we will explain the reason within that month.

You can raise a concern with us or complain to a data-protection authority. In Finland, contact the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman. You can also contact the authority where you live or work in the EEA. For information Google handles independently, you can also use the contact and privacy controls in Google’s privacy notice. You are welcome to contact us for help identifying the relevant service.

10. Younger players

SkyHopper is intended for teenagers aged 13 and older and adults. The game does not ask for or verify your age. It uses restrictive advertising settings for everyone because an intended audience does not establish an individual player’s age or their ability to consent under local law.

If you are a parent or guardian with a concern about a child’s information, contact customersupport@studiobobo.net. Please describe the concern without sending more personal information than necessary.

11. Changes to this policy

When our information practices change, we will update this page and the date above. If a change requires an additional notice or renewed consent, we will provide it as required by applicable law.
